He sets out on a quest to find Rudra, his missing Master, one of the only few remaining able to teach him the ancient art of casting Runes; an art, which depending on the user’s will and intention, can be used for peace, protection and salvation, or enslavement, pain and destruction.
Asura, one such dark Master who uses Runes to conquer entire continents, believes that Aleksei has an important role in the Kalki prophecy; the single force which can challenge his growing empire in the North. To break the prophecy, Asura sends dark assassins to kill the youth, assassins which hound Aleksei’s every step throughout his journey.
During his exploration of the world of Terra, Aleksei experiences dangers his training could never have prepared him for, initiating him into a gray world where the contrast of morality and ethics collide. A collision in which he recruits allies, finds unexpected love and is humbled by the numinous forces of both good and evil.
