Sword & Laser

The Sword and Laser (S&L) is a science fiction and fantasy-themed book club, video show and podcast, started by Veronica Belmont and Tom Merritt. The main goal of the club is to build a strong online community of sci-fi / fantasy buffs, and to discuss and enjoy books of both genres.

In my eyes, there is little else that could possibly be as cool as this. But yes, I am a fantasy/sci-fi geek...

Their upcoming book club book is Hyperion by Dan Simmons. Those who know me well, know this is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE BOOKS! I absolutely adore the entire Hyperion Cantos. They were the very first sci-fi books I read as a boy! I liberated them from my father's book shelf, and well, the rest is history!
